I read the other reviews, and has anticipated the strong possibility of my block get corrupted. As expected, he did. When I saw him sitting in front of my house, I thought, "Wow, this is the package for £ 70 rather thin cutting board." However, I had visions of the block somehow survived the trip of a night at the Amazon warehouse in Indiana and looking at our kitchen counter for the wonderful New Year's Eve. In the package, which I thought was a bit 'different. The Council considered that it must have been sitting in the Amazon store for months - even years (probably not, but it seemed that way). Inside the box was clearly stained with all the "Mystery Oil" of "cream-board" great and I imagine that once had wooden panels of the Committee - the box literally sucked the life out of this forum. The best way to describe the physical state of the block was "tired, hungry and abused."
When I opened the box, I immediately thought I should be looking at the bottom of the map (and so I started to think I could live with the block if the top looked ok). But then I soon discovered that I was really looking at what was to be a nice cutting surface - and the bottom just seen that much worse. Seriously. John Boos & Co. should not allow Amazon to sell their goods, if they can not package correctly and care fot. Boos do not have much experience with boards, as well as understand their legendary reputation ... but this experience gives someone like me pause before buying another. In this case, I thought I had nothing to lose if the card seemed fine, then I had the immediate satisfaction and a wonderful log sitting on the counter.On the otherhand, if it arrives damaged, I would have to place an order from another distributor Boos, and wait 2-4 weeks for the card to arrive.
The best advice I can give to prospective buyers is to resist the temptation to buy this block of the Amazon. I imgine my article was probably one of the damaged panels that displays the others have returned ... and probably return to the store until someone buys it. Otherwise, if Boos is to get all this advice to them, so I can not imagine why Boos Co. does not work with Amazon to find a remedy for the care adequately for these tips, and shipping to customers. .

Think before you buy this block. ok, so it must be clear ... This block is impressive. It is a square meter of two, four inches thick, 66 pound blocks of wood. And it's nice. Really. The problem is that Amazon has not figured out how to resubmit.
I learned this because I ordered one and it was wrapped in a layer of air bubbles trapped in a large envelope FedEx. Needless to say, it came completely defeated, the corners had broken through the pack at all. This seemed to have been thrown from a car's speed. It 'was terrible. Well, Amazon's customer service is awesome, so they sent a replacement immediately and promised that it would be better conditioned.
... was ... sort of. This time the block has reached a single layer of cardboard. No padding, no foam, only a right wood.Overall box was much better shape, but there were still some really bad shots visible in areas that are unacceptable.So I called Amazon again and was like "look guys ..." and so they sent another replacement (seriously, are impressive).
Well, I thought the debris after two third right ... Umm ... He broke it in two. No, I'm not kidding. It 'was literally broken in two pieces. A large block of wood, cut in half. And the fact is that it was full as the second - in a single layer of cardboard, nothing else.
So at this point, about $ 800 the value of the beautiful Chinese newspaper was dumped into sewers and Amazon actually offered to send a THIRD replacement (FedEx would have hated having to deliver four of these things), but at that moment, I 'I decided that if did not understand, would not happen and I could also save all the little "time and money and say no.The problem is that I always really wanted to stop, so I ended up working with them, where I continued the bad block at least three and I will do my best to shock the sand.
End of the day ... go ahead, but be aware that this is likely to occur in less good conditions ...
